70TH PRECINCT NEWSLETTER

Greetings from the 70th Precinct,

As we come to the closure of a successful summer season, we swing into the fall season, and enter into a time of many holidays. With Halloween upon us we ask that you take a few safety precautions while enjoying the holiday.

We have supplied you with a list of Safety tips, as we want to assure that our community has a safe and enjoyable Halloween.

  1. Trick-or-treaters should always have adult supervision, even if they are traveling in a group of friends,
  2. Children should stay out of buildings, homes and elevators when alone.
  3. An adult should always examine Halloween treats before children eat them. Never eat open or unwrapped Halloween foods.
  4. If you go out at night wear bright colored clothing or carry a flashlight.
  5. Only go trick or treating in your own neighborhood, stay close to home.
  6. Extra care should be taken on streets and at crossings, especially if your mask blocks your vision take it off before you cross any streets.
  7. If children are out trick or treating with their siblings, have them stay together. Help them cross the street, and remember, always cross at the corner and wait for the light.
  8. As always, children should be cautioned to avoid strangers, as well as poorly lit areas and homes of people they do not know.

DO HAVE FUN! ENJOY! AND RESPECT OTHER PEOPLE’S PROPERTY!
