Is there an agenda for the meeting? I'd be interested in knowing what topics are being discussed.
Hi FlatbushJunctionBID, each month's meeting agenda generally is as follows:
(1) Reports of Council officers, guest speakers, and other announcements.
(2) Report of the Commanding Officer of the 70th Precinct.
(3) Cop of the Month & Other Awards and Citations.
(4) Open forum to discuss public safety issues in the community with officers of the 70th Precinct.
(5) Other business.
If there's any business in particular to be considered, or if there is special programming, we'll certainly post it on the blog to keep the community informed.
Are members of the public allowed to make a comment on public safety during the open forum? If so what are the procedures?
All you have to do to participate is attend the meeting, and during the open forum portion of the meeting, just raise your hand and wait for Inspector Harris to recognize you. That's it!
